A New Era at The Market at Grelen...Coming April, 2027

The Market at Grelen, long celebrated as a botanical wonderland, is reaching new heights of sophistication with the unveiling of our glass conservatory. This extraordinary structure will replace the current event tent and elevate the Grelen wedding experience to a new level of luxury. Guests will continue to enjoy sweeping nursery views, now framed through soaring glass walls that blur the line between indoors and out. Blending timeless beauty with modern resilience, The Conservatory at Grelen will offer the romance of the outdoors with the refinement of a grand architectural statement — a breathtaking new centerpiece for unforgettable celebrations.

Timeless design. Modern strength. Pure Grelen magic

The Conservatory will be the exact footprint of the current Grelen tent (75' x 60' - 4500 square feet) and the bluestone patio will remain in place.

 

Construction will start November 1, 2026 and end by April 22, 2027. The tent will not be available for events during this period of time.

The Details

The Conservatory at Grelen

  • The soaring glass walls will be framed with intricate metalwork, creating an elegant and light-filled setting with panoramic views of the property.

​

  • The structure will be deep green in color. 

​

  • The structure will have three sets of retractable doors on the front and back of the Conservatory to create an open, indoor-outdoor feel.  The middle openings will be 12' wide and the side openings will be 10' wide.

​

  • There will be a 12' wide set of retractable doors on the left side (center) that vendors can use for setup.

​

  • The catering tent will transform into a permanent building (same location & footprint - 20 x 20) with a covered walkway to the Conservatory. There will be swinging doors for the caterers to use during the events.

​

  • The discreet shading and HVAC systems will be installed to provide improved temperature control for year-round comfort.

​

  • The thick, insulated glass and reinforced steel frame will offer comfort and safety even during severe weather.

  • Exclusive use of The Market at Grelen property

    • 4pm – 11pm on Fridays/Saturday | 4pm - 10pm on weekdays & Sundays

    • Includes all areas around the Market - Berry & Love Lawns, Potting Shed, Half Moon Garden, Shade Garden, Greenhouse, Stone Terrace & Pergola

  • Two getting ready suites that include 8 hours of access on your wedding day

    • Hours must be between 8am–7pm

​

  • Lighting: Chandelier & Bistro lights in the Conservatory (on dimmers). The chandeliers in the Conservatory will be different from the tent.​

​

  • A 20' x 20' covered catering area next to the Conservatory

​

  • Plants

    • 8 potted Magnolia trees in the Conservatory

    • 15-20 potted plants to be chosen the week of the event

​

  • Rentals

    • 17 - 6ft round tables, 1 - 8ft banquet table & 1 - 6ft banquet table

    • 175 cross back chairs included | add 175 bamboo chairs for an add’l $500

    • 2 barrel bars

    • 6 Adirondack Chairs

  • Large permanent bath house that includes multiple restrooms & handicap accessibility.

​

  • Complimentary after hours access to Grelen for engagement photo shoot

​

  • Kubota ride during the event for sunset photos (weather permitting)

​

  • Client onboarding session & final on-site planning meeting
